Depending on the day, you might explore the Col du Ratti, the Vallon des Munes and Val de Foron, the Chardonnière Valley and Col de Cou, the Envers du Mont Chéry, Tête des Lindarets, the Super Morzine ridges, or even the Col de la Golèse.

This outing involves approximately 10 to 12 km of walking and an elevation gain of 600 to 800 meters. The meeting time is 9:00 AM at the office, with a scheduled return around 4:00 PM. Your guide will tailor the route to the group, ensuring you can fully enjoy this immersive experience in the winter mountains.

What gear do you need for a snowshoeing outing in Morzine?

  • Warm, layered clothing: multiple layers, including a warm fleece and a waterproof jacket to protect you from the cold, wind, and snow.
  • Essential accessories: warm gloves, a hat, and sunglasses.
  • Sun protection: sunscreen suitable for winter conditions—essential in the mountains.
  • Water and a light snack: about 500 ml of water per half-day, plus an energy bar. For a full-day outing, bring a packed lunch as well.
  • Suitable footwear: preferably high-cut hiking boots. Alternatively, low-cut shoes worn with gaiters may suffice.
  • A small backpack to carry your water and snacks, and to easily remove a layer of clothing if you get too warm.
